:: Promotion of Access to Information Manuals
By now most business people have heard of the Promotion of Access to Information Act and the requirement that every business have a Manual as set out in section 51 of the Act.
We offer a simple and relatively cost-effective solution to the compilation of these manuals for all kinds of businesses. Upon acceptance of our quote we will provide you with an easy to follow questionnaire designed to elicit all the information which should be reflected in the Manual. While we will provide all the guidance we can, the ease with which the questionnaire can be completed will be directly proportional to the degree of organisation of documents within your organisation.
Once we have received the finished questionnaire we will complete the statutory information required and ensure that the Manual is properly placed on your web site (if any) and that it is lodged with the South African Human Rights Commission.
We are aware that small businesses are being charged upwards of R3 000 for the compilation of Section 51 Manuals. Contact us for a quote - our prices start at R500 for sole proprietorships and simple CCs.
The Electronic Law Consultancy also offers advice on the operation of the Act and how requests for information made to your business should be dealt with.
